I was born at Las Campanas Hospital, at the corner of 120th Street and Wilmington Avenue, in Compton - so I'm glad to be at King / Drew and back to my home roots!

 

I have loved words as long as I can remember -- their power to express self and move others to think, feel, experience beyond what we alone cannot imagine ourselves.

 

Good thing I became an English major!

Something I like to do when I have time is to BAKE!

Over the shelter-in-place time, LAUSD released the famous Old Fashioned Coffee Cake recipe and I was able to bake and enjoy it HOT and FRESH from the oven! just like in "my" days as an LAUSD student :)
