I have been teaching music classes for many years and truly love what I am doing.    My passion for music and teaching commenced many years ago when I was born into a very musical family of musicians and music teachers.  Not only did my family engage me in the field of music, but also that of sports, reading and good food.

My teaching experience ranges from PreK through adult and has been in numerous states.  The same can be said of my performing experience which ranges from that of singer/actress to musical director/choral conductor.  I have been with Los Angeles Unified School District for over eighteen years.
Choir:  Periods 1, 2, 3 & 5
Music  History: Period 6
Pupils are given the opportunity to develop competent singing technique and performance skills.  A variety of choral music is taught to afford students the chance to gain knowledge and understanding of different musical styles from various time periods.  Selection of repertoire to meet this goal is a collaborative effort between teacher and students.  Certain selections from this repertoire will be performed during each semester's culminating concert.
Additionally, students are taught music notation fundamentals in accordance with the California Standards of Music at the High School level.
Students receive the opportunity to learn about musical genres, performers, and composers from around the globe.  Students study music contributions from the medieval period to the present.
Course of study adheres to the California Standards in Music at the High School level through the textbook entitled, Music!  Its Role and Importance in Our Lives.
