Courses in the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Program

  • AP Computer Science introduces students to the Java programming language. Students learn how to design and develop algorithms that make up a program. Students will also learn how to test their program code as well as document and explain how their program works.
  • AP Computer Science Principles introduces you to the foundations of computer science with a focus on how computing powers the world. Along with the fundamentals of computing, you will learn to analyze data, create technology that has a practical impact, and gain a broader understanding of how computer science impacts people and society. The language of preference for this class is python.
