Hello! Let me tell you a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, and I have lived for extended periods in Mexico and Ecuador. I have also traveled throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.K., El Salvador, Colombia, and Peru. I have a B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Studies and I have a Masters in Educational Technology. This is my 22nd year teaching Spanish and my eighth year at King/Drew. My passion is teaching my students to understand and appreciate the rich cultures of the world, to recognize commonalities across cultures, and to better understand themselves and others.
¡Hola! Déjame decirles un poquito sobre mi. Nací y crecí en Seattle, Washington y he vivido en México y Ecuador y también he visitado a El Salvador, Colombia y Perú. Tengo un Licenciado en Letras enfocado en Español y Estudios Latinoamericanos y un Licenciado Superior enfocado en la Tecnología Educacional. He estado enseñando español para veintidos años y mi octavo año en King/Drew. Mi pasión es enseñando a mis estudiantes a respetar y entender las culturas diversas del mundo, reconocer las similitudes entre culturas, y entenderse mejor a sus mismos y a otras personas.
