Welcome to the Incoming Class of 2024 and welcome back to all of our amazing returning students. On behalf of our dedicated teachers, caring counselors, knowledgeable administrative staff, and diligent support staff, I pledge that the upcoming 2020-21 School Year will be memorable. It is very easy to become dismayed by the changes that this Global Pandemic has caused, but it is our intent as a collective staff to continue the awesome Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Dr. Charles Drew. The forward thinking and extraordinary accomplishments of these two men occurred amidst great turmoil and adversity. They never allowed obstacles to block or sideline their goals; rather, they persevered and embody the true reason our school remains one of the top high schools within the Los Angeles Unified School District. We have and continue to improve our strategies to expose our student population to the world of scientific inquiry and the fields of medicine. Whether our college prep curriculum is taught through remote-distance learning or traditional in-person classroom mode, King/Drew students will prepare for the demands required to ultimately complete their university degrees. Success mandates earnest commitment and hard work; we believe in you and will always support your path to realize your planned goals and ultimate dreams!
