Biography: Welcome parents, guardians, and students! My name is Ms. Erin Prioleau and I am a first year teacher at King/Drew Magnet High School of Medicine and Science. As a proud product of Inglewood, California and a family of Black women educators, I am grateful to begin this new chapter as a secondary English teacher. English was always my favorite subject growing up. After majoring in English at Spelman College, I decided to move back to Los Angeles to pursue my Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary English with a certification in Gifted Education at USC. I began my journey at King/Drew with my first group of scholars during the spring 2025 semester as a student teacher.

I foster a positive learning environment in my classroom where every student feels seen, safe, and heard. I hope to empower all students in my class, helping them feel more confident in their learning abilities and prepared to take on their English class for the following school year. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy traveling (my students know I'm always taking a weekend trip out of state), reading books, listening to music, and cooking.

I look forward to a new challenge of powerful learning, meaningful conversations, and creative exploration with you all.
