I decided to become a teacher after doing educational support and credit recovery as a worker in the foster care system. I found that I had a passion for helping students learn and engage with new topics. I went back to school and got my Master's in Education at SDSU. I chose to teach chemistry as it was always my favorite subject and can teach us so much about how the world around us works. Now, I'm happy to be part of the KD family. 

 

I love learning and take every opportunity to expand my knowledge. As a result, I'm pretty good at trivia and love participating in trivia competitions. I also love crafts. I enjoy sewing and making costumes. I attend conventions for anime, video games, and fantasy. Overall, I'm a pretty big nerd! 

 

In my class, expect to be hands-on learners through extensive labs and activities. Chemistry is a subject that builds upon itself so practice is key! If you put in the work, expect to leave this class with a deep understanding of the wonderful world around us.
