My name is Mrs. Latrice L. Washington. I am a Los Angeles native and reside in Carson, CA. I enjoy writing scripts for stage and film, designing special events, crafting jewelry, cooking, and traveling with my husband.
I hold a Bachelor of Art in Theater Arts from Humboldt State University (2002) and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English from CSU, Dominguez Hills (2012). I am currently earning a Master of Art in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University and will graduate in May 2019.
Previously, I taught 9th and 10th grade English Language Arts and Theater Arts at Mervyn M. Dymally High School for three years. Before that, I taught 11th and 12th grade English, Creative Writing, and Theater Arts at Frederick Douglass Academy Charter High School (FDACHS). I am entering my seventh year of teaching. Before becoming a teacher, I worked for Discovery Communications and Tribune Entertainment producing reality-based documentaries and music award programs and specials.
